Zlatica Maksimović

Zlatica Maksimovic (1966, Novi Sad) graduated from the Department of Painting/Teaching, the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad and continuously improves her education in different fields of interest.

As a painter and a multimedia author she participated in 30 collective and 20 solo exhibitions throughout the world.

Solo exhibitions:

• Serbia: Novi Sad, 1989 - 2008;
• Montenegro: Becici, 2001;
• Sweden: Stockholm; Trollhättan, 2003, 2014, 2015;
• France: Paris, 2004, Serbia and Montenegro Cultural Center;
• Greece: Athens, 2005, Serbia and Greece Partnership;
• Denmark: Randers, 2005, Cultural Center.

In her professional life, Zlatica also worked as a television and theatre designer, art teacher and project coordinator. In cooperation with cultural and mental health institutions she organized and led lectures „Art and its therapeutic effect” (Institute for Student Health Protection, Faculty of Medicine, Student forum, 2015, Novi Sad). She was also a consultant in the “Research of the Cultural Strategy of the City of Novi Sad” in the “Restarting” culture - from state to need project (NGO “Restart Association”, 2013, Novi Sad), as well as on the presentation of the Project “Little Prince” - Sociological And Psychological Prism Of Theater (Youth Theater, Novi Sad, 1996).

Zlatica is a member of international cultural and art organizations TEELENT BRAND, Youcan Company Srl Corso Matteotti , 2019, Varese, Italy, International group, and The Multimedia Art Association “Car Constantine”, 2000, Nis, Serbia.

Zlatica also designed scenography for the following plays, shows and performances:

“Egg of the World”, theatrical performance, Ethnographic Museum Belgrade, directed by Gordana Lebovic, 1995;

“Step to 2000”, musical and stage spectacle, Serbian National Theater, Novi Sad author Bosilka Lazicic, 1999;

“Zrenjanin Music Festival”, fashion show, City Hall, Zrenjanin, 2000. 

She frequently has given art workshops and has also been active as a pedagogue in an art research project with talented youth. As a specialized film, painting, psychology, and literature trainer she took participation in various projects. In 2005, Zlatica represented the culture as a Serbian brand at the Cultural Trade Fair of Serbia and Greece, and then next year at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
